This Saturday, from 9am to 2pm

Williams Sonoma in GrandBoulevard

I will be at William Sonoma in Grandboulevard this Saturday from 9am to 2pm .. Come over, check it out ...

and

Next Saturday, August 17 I will be at
The Main Street Market in Defuniak Spring,
8am to Noon ...

This week in the life of a FarmHer ...

Here are two stories I had going on my FB page this week ...

First name : Praline, middle name: Arrete (Stop it), last name: Nom de Dieu (no english translation but not pretty), nickname: je vai te casser la tete (empty threat supposed to bring some level of terror) .... repeat, all day long ... all day long .. makes days very long !!!!!
and then because I was missing some action ... I have a mouse or something in my feed shed and tonight "we" jumps toward me and yes I screamed .. pppfffff ... so I knew I had "something", for a couple of weeks I have holes in the bags, not just one hole but a bunch of holes all over ... so either "we" are not alone or "we" can not read labels because it is all the same stuff .. so tonight "we" got trapped between the little window and the screen (which had a hole "we"!!) "we" got a little panicky when "we" realized that I was watching and calling Miss Pepita to the rescue and as I was joggling the window rusted latch to try to open it, "we" remembered the hole in the screen and I was on the receiving side !!!!
Miss Pepita was on her way when I huge dragonfly flew by, she jumped straight up 1 yard and snapped it .. then feasted and forgot about me ...
So tonight "we" are gorging and laughing with the rest of the "we" gang to that silly scream the FarmHer had ...

that was day 1 .. wait for day 2 :

After tonight I will take my phone when I go feeding because you going to think I fable when I tell the tale ... First no sign of "we" today .. I think "we" got really scared because no more bags nitpicking either ... I go about my business, load, feed all, going pretty smooth, get back to the shed, open the door .. step in ... when under my foot I feel like i have the rod of broom and I have a bunch of them in the corner, though one dropped, I put down the buckets I was carrying, turn around, look ... the rod was the biggest freaking snake ... "he" was leisurely sliding along the threshold of the door, I had stepped on the "fat" part of the body !!! ...
I really dont know snakes because I rarely encounter any, too much commotion around here for them .. not sure what "he" is, I go home to get my book on snakes, my phone to pix because I knew you would be believe me and stop by the garden shed for tools, by the time I get back, a few minutes later "he" is gone ...
Now that shed is full of stuff, feed but also bags of lime, DE, cardboard for garden beds, empty buckets, diesel jugs .. you know farm shed ... and most of the stuff is on top of a pallet, you know ventilation so like 100 places to hide ... "he" can still be there or gone or "he" may be the one that snacked on " we" or, and I dont want you to think I could fall for some ludicrous conspiracy theory, but ... Praline could very well be the gang leader ... she wants free access to that shed so bad !!!!

To be continued ...

See you All ...

Hamlet, waiting for his diner .. everyday he is like this, waiting next to his plate and funny enough he has another bigger one but no he likes this one ...
My gentle giant ...
Hamlet
