Eat Local and mainly Organic

Last June we took part of the Eat Local, America ! Challenge and posted our meals on our facebook page ... but we dont eat local just in the month of June, we are doing it all year around. Hereafter is a sample of our meals, not all of them, with pictures and price tag. The idea is to eat Local and Organic first, when we have to choose between Local or Organic "from far away" we pick Local, if we have to choose between organic "out of a truck" or a local farmer at the farmer's market we pick the latest and of course NO processed food what so ever ...

September 22, 2010 : our local 100% grass fed ground beef in a vegetable curry stew with some organic brown rice.

$8/lb for the beef, $4 the veggies at the farmer's market and $2 for the rice, Lundberg grown in Ca. Total $15 and we got 2 meals for two out of it ... $3.50 per meal ...
